1000 lb. Meltdown Challenge

You probably won’t see me signed up for the challenge but I do try to support our local food shelves. Is that close enough? – Lil

Fit Body Boot Camp in Westminster

to Launch a 1,000lb Meltdown Challenge

to Inspire the Community to Get Fit for a Cause

In an effort to burn the fat and feed the hungry, the Fit Body Boot Camp in Westminster, VT announced plans to launch a 1,000 lb Meltdown Challenge with all proceeds going to benefit  local food banks.

On November 11th, 2013, Fit Body Boot Camp in Westminster, VT will kick off their 1,000lb Meltdown Challenge and invite all members of the neighboring communities to come out and participate in the 28 day fitness challenge dedicated to helping combat rising obesity statistics, all while supporting an important cause.

Lisa Dumont, owner and operator of the Westminster Fit Body Boot Camp, says she is thrilled to be launching the 1,000 lb Meltdown Challenge because she believes that it is a great way to get our communities to think about their health and fitness goals as well as feed the many people who go hungry in our area.

According to the newest data released from the Center of Disease Control, 57.7% of Vermont’s adults were considered overweight and 23.2% were considered obese with a Body Mass Index of 30 or higher.

Inspired by these recent numbers, Dumont explains, “I feel the 1000lb Meltdown Challenge will allow me to address the issue of obesity in our communities by offering group training, an easy to follow food plan and coaching to educate participants on the importance of a therapeutic lifestyle… making daily choices to support health and wellness while raising money to support local food shelves during the difficult holidays times.  Let’s ‘burn the fat and feed the hungry!’”

The fee to participate in Dumont’s 1,000lb Meltdown Challenge is $20 for the 28 day period and all proceeds will be donated to the participant’s choice of two local food banks, either the Fall Mountain Food Shelf located in New Hampshire or Our Place Drop-In Center found in Vermont.

Westminster Fit Body Boot Camp is located at 5983 US-5 Westminster, Vermont 05158 and is opened six days a week with multiple daily session times to accommodate the busy schedule of our communities.
