A Note from Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library are gearing up for another great year of book gathering and selling. We are so grateful to all the volunteers and townspeople whose generosity made the October 2024 library sale such a success. We took in over $6,000.00, and with the ongoing sale of books at the Walpole Reuse Center and generous donations by community members, over $12,000.00 additional funds were raised. This money supports the purchase of books, museum passes and furnishings for the library, and exciting programs that bring speakers, arts and crafts, and other activities to the children and adults in our Walpole and North Walpole communities.

The 2025 book sale will be held at the Walpole School the weekend of October 25th-26th. We will begin sorting books on Wednesday, June 11th, between 9:30 and 10:30 at the white coop building behind the Hungry Diner parking lot. Sorting will continue every Wednesday morning until mid-October, and we
welcome all who wish to help with this task!

Also starting on June 11th during sorting time at the coop, we will begin accepting donations of clean, gently used books, and will continue to do so until September 24th. Please, no travel books or encyclopedias, and only textbooks under 5 years old. If you are unable to drop books off at the coop, they can still be taken to the Reuse Center any Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday between 8:00am and 4:00pm.

Again, we are so grateful for the depth of community support for all efforts on behalf of the library.
