Reminder: Drewsville Tree Lighting – 12/7/25

The annual Drewsville Tree Lighting, which was postponed from last weekend, will be held this Sunday, December 7th, at 4:30 pm on the Drewsville Common. We will have horse and wagon rides, as well as cookies and cocoa. And, of course, Santa!

Walpole Players New Year’s Eve Party – 12/31/25

A New Year's Eve Party! Wednesday, December 31, 8 pm - midnight at the Walpole Town Hall. Come dance the night away . . . and toast the New Year with us! Music by local favorite DJ, Shamus Martin. Catered appetizers & desserts by Susie Rogers - BYOB! Mystery raffle: $1/ticket or $10 for your arm length. Wear a costume, tux, and evening gown, or any festive clothing! RSVP to walpoleplayers.events@gmail.com by Saturday, December 20th, so we can plan for enough food! Tickets are $20 per person at the door.

Labyrinth of Lights – December 2025

This December, the Walpole Unitarian Church is pleased to offer our beautiful Labyrinth of Lights to the community again.  Constructed of greens and tiny lights, the labyrinth offers both the walker and the observer a time of deep peace during some of the hectic days of December.  This much-loved tradition had been offered for more than 20 years in the second floor ballroom of Hastings Memorial Parish House, 14 Union Street. This year, the labyrinth will be open from 5 – 7 p.m. on the following dates:  December 21 & 22 (Sun., Mon.);  December 27, 28 & 29 (Sat., Sun., Mon.)  If you are new to the Labyrinth, one of our hosts will assist you in getting started!  Please plan to wear warm slippers or socks in the ballroom and leave your shoes downstairs. In the case of inclement weather, a recorded message will be available by 3:00 p.m. when calling the church phone: 603-756-3961.

Walpole Unitarian Church Holiday Food Sale – 12/6/25

The Walpole Unitarian Church will hold it’s annual Holiday Food Sale on Saturday, December 6, in front of the Walpole Post Office from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. We will have our popular boxed holiday cookies ready for gift giving. There will also be holiday breads and desserts, along with savory items such as quiches, casseroles, lasagnas, and more. These items will be ready to take home and serve, or keep in the freezer for later. All of our offerings are home made. There are always unexpected surprises arriving on the day of the sale. Come early to get the best choices!

Curbside Food Drop-Off – 11/15/25

Curbside Food Drop-Off, Saturday, November 15, 10:00 am - noon at the First Congregational Church on the Walpole Common. Donations to benefit the Fall Mountain Food Shelf. Requesting Thanksgiving items: cranberries, canned goods, potatoes, squash, onions, stuffing. Monetary donations gladly accepted, checks made payable to the Fall Mountain Food Shelf. Holiday Wreath Making at the Hooper Institute – 12/5 & 12/6/25

Holiday Wreath Making. Join us to create your own natural holiday wreath using fresh greenery. Classic Holiday Wreath Making, December 5th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Create a beautiful evergreen wreath to celebrate the season. Wreaths from the Woods, December 6th from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. Gather natural materials from the Hooper woods and craft your own holiday wreath. Both workshops are $45 and include all materials, instruction, and light refreshments. Walpole Holiday Fairs – 11/22/25

Walpole Holiday Fairs, November 22 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Walpole Common: Thanksgiving Farmers Market with local vendors selling fresh produce, meat, prepared food & crafts, plus local nonprofits. Congregational Church: Mistletoe Mart with baked goods, candy & crafts. Lunch served fro 11:30 am to 2:00 pm. St. John's Church: Holiday Fair with cookies by the pound, sweet & savory goods, home goods, wreaths, and more. Baked goods and free coffee, tea, or cider. The Gathering Place: Sending Sunshine - cards made by local artists. Sit and write or create cards to mail. Town Hall: Craft Fair hosted by Firefighters Auxiliary with vendors on both floors. Breakfast and lunch options. Quilt raffled at 2:00 pm.
