This graphic that I received from Andrea Goins seems to say it all but she went on to explain that she especially love the collection of old store and business letterheads and bills of sale that have the most charming typography. Christie Winmill deciphered beautiful Spencerian script from old store ledgers and pharmacy prescription books, and those are also on display. Thanks to Carol and Ed Reardon, a terrific collection of artifacts from the old C.C. Davis Drug Store are on loan for the display. There’s a lot to see and learn about early commerce, and we hope folks will stop by and have a look into their history!

Hi Lil Do you know if the historical society might have post cards or something with a picture of the old store block before the new store was built? I’ve asked around and have not been able to find a picture of it. Even Bill Williams doesn’t have one. Thanks Gordon Kent

Gordie, I don’t know if they have one but hopefully a reader might know of one. What say you, folks?

Gordon! You wouldn’t believe what we have up there! Lots of photos and postcards! Let me know what storeblock you are talking about, and I’ll do some digging. Andrea Goins
