It Takes a Village

It does take a village to accomplish all the work that was done this past weekend.  It was demonstrated once again that our community has a wealth of volunteers that work hard to promote the benefits that we enjoy.  The endless hours that they put in to create the fun weekend, or in the case or the Corn Maze the entire month, deserve our gratitude and praise.  I feel safe in speaking for most, if not all, when I say, “Thank You Everyone.”  We appreciate your time and efforts and hope you were successful in filling the coffers of the organizations you represent.

The Walpole Players and their Corn Maze and Cemetery Walk, the Walpole Village School with the “Spooktacula”, and the Friends of the Library Book Sale represent worthy organizations that add so much to our community.   Thank goodness that each has a large number of workers that can and do volunteer endless hours.  You sort of wonder where the participants came from with so many people working behind the scenes.

I have to add a special thank you to the “worker Bees” who created, and placed, these scarecrows on our front lawn Saturday morning.

There were many others around town as well.  Those who rode the hayride from the Walpole Village School could see them all.  Thanks again to everyone.  You know who you are. – Lil

The scarecrows were magnificient. Many, many thanks to the people who made this happen!! I looked out this morning and the quartet in froint of our house was gone and I felt like part of my family had ben taken away. People visiting from out of town remarked over the energy that must exist in our little town for so much activity and spirit to exist. Makes us all proud to call Walpole home!
