Just to be sure that no one will be disappointed, I wanted to let you know that there will be no April Fools’s Day musings tomorrow in “The Walpolean”. There are three reasons for this.
#1 Chuck moved to California.
#2 “The Clarion” did an excellent job in this regard and I’m afraid to compete.
#3 After years of being in the schools on April first, I am weary of looking for something that is only an April Fool’s Joke. With retirement, comes privileges!

I just had a call from Michelle Rios who is concerned because many of her customers took seriously our April Fools article mentioning her salon on page 3 of the Clarion. As we cannot reassure people on a wide scale until our May issue, would you please be so kind as to post a notice that the Walpole Salon is an integral part of our downtown, and is here to stay? It is most definitely NOT moving to Los Angeles! Thank you!
