Presenter: Rev. Dr. Mellen Kennedy is a UU minister and also a Sufi minister. She serves as minister for the UU Church in Springfield, Vermont. Seven years ago she founded “Peace and Unity Bridge,” (PUB), an organization dedicated to cultivating friendship and understanding among Muslims and non-Muslims. Rev. Mellen is part of the national grassroots effort to counter Islamophobia. PUB is funded in part by a grant from the Unitarian Universalist Fund for Social Responsibility. (www.peaceandunitybridge.org). Rev. Mellen is also co-founder of the UU Small Group Ministry Network. She serves on the Board of the Sufi Inayati Order.
