Savings Bank of Walpole recently made its annual donation to Meeting Waters YMCA’s “Reach Out to Youth Scholarship Fund.”
“Savings Bank of Walpole and its Board of Trustees are deeply committed to supporting youth and educational programs,” said the bank’s President and CEO, Gregg Tewksbury. “Meeting Waters YMCA is a valuable community resource in both areas. We are proud of our ongoing partnership and its positive impacts on youth, families, and communities throughout the region.”
Meeting Waters YMCA’s Executive Director, Steve Fortier, is equally proud of the ongoing relationship. “Savings Bank of Walpole’s generous charitable investments over the past several decades have helped hundreds of children and families with limited financial resources participate in our high-quality, high-impact programs. At a time where the ‘opportunity gap’ continues to widen in our region and our country, it is support from Savings Bank of Walpole and other contributors to our Reach Out to Youth Scholarship Fund that ensures that all children have equal access to programs that help them learn, grow and thrive. This builds not only strong children but strong families and communities, as well.”
Meeting Waters YMCA is a charitable, non-profit, social service organization founded in 1895. Its services positively impact children, teens, families and communities throughout the Fall Mountain, Springfield, Bellows Falls and Brattleboro regions.
