Again this year, the Library Plant Sale will be an ongoing sale located on the library porch. A special selection of plants will be available beginning Saturday, May 8 (the day before Mother’s Day) and run through September. Proceeds from the plant sale will help support the purchase of a wide variety of museum passes that you can borrow from the library, a new system to organize the periodicals, adult and children programming, and of course, new books.
What can you do to help make this year’s Library Plant Sale a big success?
• Donate plants. As you get back in the garden this spring, you may have perennials that you need to divide. We are also looking for donations of plants that are in bloom. Please bring your labeled plant donations to the library porch beginning in early May and continuing throughout the summer.
• Buy plants at the Plant Sale. Please check out our ever changing display of plants throughout the spring and summer, and make a donation to support our fabulous local library and its many services and programs.
Our thanks to the Walpole community for your generous support of last year’s Plant Sale! We look forward to another successful sale this year!
Also, please note that we are planning to have our usual Book Sale in the Walpole School gym, the weekend of October 29-31. Mark your calendar. We will have information later regarding how and when to donate books to the sale. Thank you!
