Trail Work Day – Mason Forest needs you!
Saturday, April 13
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Meeting place – Mason Forest parking area on east side of Rt. 12
Open to anyone. Anyone under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
Walpole has some wonderful trails and many options for new ones. The Walpole Conservation Commission is looking for volunteers to help open and maintain trails in town. Over the next few months there will be a series of trail work days to maintain our trails in town. We’ll begin with some existing trails in the Mason Forest with an eye to creating new ones in the near future. These are non-motorized recreation trails that are in need of brushing, clearing blowdowns, and marking. No experience necessary and there will be an introduction to the work and a safety talk prior to working. Some tools are provided but rakes and loppers would be helpful if you can bring them.
You’ll love this area and you’ll have fun working with others that enjoy getting out on trails and into the woods. And you’ll be helping to make it accessible for everyone to enjoy.
Hello, we would love to help but not sure where the Mason Forest parking area is. Is there a landmark? Thank you!

Directions: head south on Route 12 from Walpole. Pass the Walpole Vet Center on your right. Continue south, past River road on your right. Just around the bend, there is a pull off parking area on your right and a pull off on your left. They both have roofed structures with picnic tables below. Meet at the one on your left.
