At 7pm on 8/17/2026 voters met at the Town Hall to vote on just one Article.  The article was in regard to the Town acquiring a 3 million dollar Bond to help build a new Police Station.

The results of the Special Town Meeting are as follows:

There were 175 ballots cast.

104 were in favor of the Article.

71 were not in favor of the Article.

To pass an Article regarding a Bond, a 3/5 majority is required.

3/5 of 175 ballots is 105.

Therefore, the Article was NOT passed, because 105 votes in favor were needed but only 104 were cast in favor.
